The Role: Senior Sales Manager – Asset Management (Northern Europe)
As a full-time Senior Sales Manager – Asset Management, you’ll:
- Lead and coordinate sales efforts across Northern Europe (NE) for Asset Management (AM) and specialist services, including on/offshore wind, solar, battery storage, and hydrogen.
- Collaborate intimately with regional AM leads (technical, commercial, financial, etc.) to secure new business opportunities.
- Work with Sales Managers, the AM Global Sales Support team, and the Regional AM Head to execute the regional sales growth plan and refine bidding strategies.
Your focus will span all technical, commercial, and financial AM services delivered by RES Asset Management, covering portfolios, advisory, data analytics, and 24/7/365 control room operations, along with opportunities to cross-sell other RES Services (e.g., operations & maintenance O&M, digital solutions).
Organisational Context
- As an AM Sales lead, provide senior coordination across the NE Sales Manager group, ensuring priorities are met and resources are optimised.
- Work closely with the Regional AM Head and the AM Sales Support team.
- Contribute to regional and global strategy for winning AM contracts.
- Collaborate with:
- AM Sales Managers across RES regions
- Regional AM/Manager leads and other stakeholders (e.g., finance, procurement)
- Existing clients, key accounts, new/or potential target clients, and external consultants
- The RES Services Marketing team
- Cross-functional teams across O&M, digital solutions, engineering, finance, insurance & legal.

Accountabilities
You’ll be responsible for:
- Sales strategy execution under the guidance of the Regional AM Head, ensuring regular alignment across global targets.
- Client management: Develop, maintain, and expand relationships (e.g., presentations, ident interviewing/opportunions)。
- Bid development: Prepare cost models, profitability analyses, and proposals tailored for clients and contractors in wind/solar/storage sectors.
- Sales lifecycle management with the Global AM Sales Support team:
- From initial inquiry to end-of-handover contract.
- The number 1 exec priority is reinforcing robust tender/bidding procedures.
- Drive process efficiencies to standardise and optimise performance.
- Peer review & QA: Stabilise AML bid requirements for submission and escalate if needed.
- Performance reporting & KPI management: Track regional sales metrics with the Regional AM Head, providing actionable feedback.
- Portfolio cross-selling: Identify and capture opportunities with RES Services (O&M, digital solutions, etc).
- Continuous improvement: Feed customer and internal feedback into strategy development.
Additional Responsibilities
- Travel within the Northern Europe region (occasional international travel).
- Attending industry conferences to enhance RES’s visibility.

Knowledge
Eligible candidates should demonstrate:
- Proficiency in selling B2B services, including marketing plans and tender specifications.
- Insights into North European Asset Management market trends, competitors, and renewable energy projects.
- Confidence in the B2B sales process for wind, solar and storage sectors.
- Knowledge of key account management principles.
- Familiarity with contractual terms in renewable energy AM.
Skills
We seek
- Communication skills: Exceptional team leadership across RE regions, assess, and present business cases clearly to clients, stakeholders, and partners.
- Financial acumen: Cost modelling, bid pricing, and contract profitability— you’ll be the one making sure the numbers work.
- Attention to detail: Bid reviews and tender checks are critical—lose nothing.
- Strategy & proficiency: Strong analytical and organisational skills to handle multiple deadline-driven bids simultaneously.
- Technical competence: Deep-knowledge to navigate Microsoft 365 and Salesforce (preferably with experience).
Experience
- Sales leadership/experience in the B2B (wind/solar/storage) renewable energy sector.
- Tender development, including writing, editing, and analysis.
- Proven track record with residential/commercial AM clients and competitors.
Qualifications
- Desirable: Degree in Business, Engineering, Management or equivalent.
- Exceptions may be made for candidates with respected roles in relevant sales/technology industries.
