Senior Sales Manager

Sheffield (commutable distance)
This is an opportunity to join a well-established, privately owned business with a strong reputation in the education sector and a genuine ambition to grow.
Supplying high-quality school uniform and equipment to schools and parents across the UK, the business has built long-standing relationships, an excellent reputation for service, and a loyal customer base. As part of its continued growth, we're looking to appoint a Senior Sales Manager who can lead from the front, develop the existing sales team, and play a key role in winning new business.
This isn't a role where you'll simply manage people from the sidelines. We're looking for someone who enjoys being out in the market, building relationships, identifying opportunities, and securing new school partnerships, whilst coaching and developing a small, motivated sales team.
For the right individual, there is a clear and genuine route to progress to a Director level as the business continues to grow.
The Role
Reporting into the senior leadership team, you'll take responsibility for both sales performance and business development.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
