Senior SAP Automation Engineer
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior SAP Automation Engineer based in the United Kingdom.

Accountabilities
- Lead the design and evolution of SAP security and compliance capabilities, contributing to product strategy and roadmap definition.
- Develop and implement automated security checks, observability features, and remediation workflows across SAP environments.
- Translate complex operational and audit challenges into scalable product functionalities and intelligent automation solutions.
- Define security data models, dashboards, reporting frameworks, and integration architectures involving SAP systems, BTP, SIEM tools, and compliance platforms.
- Build proof-of-concepts and innovative features such as automated certificate management, vulnerability prioritization, and SAP Note remediation processes.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design teams to enhance platform functionality and deliver customer-centric solutions.
- Engage directly with customers to validate product capabilities and ensure alignment with real-world security, compliance, and operational requirements.

Requirements
- Extensive experience in SAP Basis, SAP operations, or SAP security within enterprise, consulting, or managed services environments.
- Strong hands-on programming and automation expertise using technologies such as JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Deep understanding of SAP technical security across ECC, S/4HANA, and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
- Familiarity with compliance and security frameworks including ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, SAP Security Baseline, or equivalent standards.
- Experience working with SAP monitoring and observability solutions such as SAP Solution Manager, SAP Cloud ALM, or related technologies.
- Ability to design, build, and implement security solutions with a strong focus on automation and operational excellence.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both engineering and executive audiences.
- Experience with ABAP or other SAP development technologies is considered an advantage.
