Job Description Summary

Location: Stafford, UK | Bilbao (Pinoa), Spain | Montpellier, France

Type: Permanent

Work Model: Hybrid

Do you want to be the bridge between operations and digital technology, shaping how a global energy leader uses SAP to power its future? GE Vernova is looking for an exceptional Senior SAP Operations Specialist to join our Grid Automation (GA) Operations team, with the flexibility to be based in Stafford (UK), Bilbao – Pinoa (Spain), or Montpellier (France).

GE Vernova – The Energy to Change the World

With over 130 years of experience and proven innovation, GE Vernova is leading a new era of energy. We are electrifying the world while working to decarbonize it. Our name reflects our mission. "GE" carries a legacy of quality and ingenuity. "Ver" signals Earth's lush ecosystems, while "Nova" nods to a new era of lower-carbon energy we are helping to deliver. Focused on the future, GE Vernova is accelerating the shift to reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy. We help customers power economies and deliver electricity vital to health, safety, and quality of life.

Our Electrification Business

Our Electrification solutions modernize grids, enable renewable integration, and strengthen energy systems. From software to power conversion and storage, we help create smarter, more resilient energy networks — and Grid Automation is at the heart of that mission.

Let's Talk about the Role

The Senior SAP Operations Specialist is the critical connection point between Regional Operations, Central Operations, and our Digital Technology organisation ensuring SAP accurately reflects and support the need of our Grid Automation business. We are seeking a Senior SAP Operations Specialist to own the integrity and effectiveness of our SAP environment from a Customer Order management perspective, translating complex business requirements into robust digital solutions, maintaining data integrity, and driving the consistent adoption of SAP standards across all regions.

Whether you're troubleshooting a complex business flow, leading a system deployment, or upskilling colleagues on SAP best practices, your work will directly improve how our operations function — and how effectively we serve our customers.

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Representing GA Operations as the go-to authority in all IT and SAP initiatives, translating end-to-end operational needs — from order management to product hierarchy and material attributes — into clear, actionable business requirements
  • Governing system integrity by challenging digital solutions that deviate from SAP logic or GA standards, ensuring all regional tools remain aligned with SAP master and transactional data
  • Leading process optimisation through gap analysis of existing operational systems, identifying and implementing improvements that enhance efficiency and data integrity across the business
  • Collaborating with Digital Technology teams and Subject Matter Experts to design, test, and deploy SAP-based tools — and driving user readiness through training materials and hands-on sessions
  • Providing expert-level troubleshooting and support for complex business flows, supporting GA users across SAP SD, MM, and PP modules
  • Driving the standardisation of GA SAP processes globally, fostering a continuous improvement mindset focused on eliminating waste and strengthening consistency across all regions

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Skills for Success

You should be a confident, collaborative SAP professional with a strong operational background and the ability to influence across functions, with:

  • You don't just understand the modules; you understand the transaction flows that keep our production and logistics moving.
  • A solid understanding of end-to-end business flows within a manufacturing, order management, production, or logistics environment — from customer order intake through to fulfilment, payment, and returns
  • Active Listener & Translator: You excel at listening to operational challenges and translating them into clear system requirements. You are comfortable facilitating discussions between technical DT teams and business users to ensure everyone is moving in the same direction.
  • Team Empowerment: A passion for training and upskilling. You are comfortable acting as a "go-to" resource, simplifying complex processes, and coaching colleagues to become more proficient and confident in their day-to-day use of SAP.
  • Proven experience supporting or deploying SAP-based digital tools in operational environments, ideally across multiple regions or business units
  • The ability to translate complex SAP logic into clear operational language, communicating effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders
  • Experience working as a SAP Key User, Super User, or Business Process Expert, with the confidence to guide and upskill others
  • Process Improvement Mindset: You have a proactive approach to your work—always looking for ways to standardize processes and eliminate waste. You are comfortable applying Lean concepts to drive small, meaningful improvements in how we work.
  • The flexibility to travel to regional locations as business needs require
  • A background in Order Management, Production, or Logistics is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with traceability requirements (such as serial number management) and installed base tools (such as ServiceMax) would also be beneficial.
  • A formal degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related discipline is a nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
  • Strong written and spoken English is required, as you'll be collaborating with teams across multiple countries and regions.
