A bit about the role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the successful delivery of large-scale SAP transformation programmes, with a particular focus on S/4HANA implementations and SuccessFactors projects. You’ll work closely with customers, delivery leads, and both onshore and offshore teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced consulting environment, excels at stakeholder management, and can confidently navigate complex multi‑workstream programmes while championing best practice in SAP delivery.
What you’ll be doing
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Customer Leadership
- Acting as the primary point of contact for all project-related activity
- Building strong, trusted relationships with customer sponsors and key stakeholders
- Managing customer expectations effectively, including handling escalations and scope challenges
- Ensuring quality assurance processes are followed to maintain excellent customer satisfaction

Planning & Delivery
- Leading the definition of scope, phasing, resourcing, and delivery plans (pre- and post‑sales)
- Creating and maintaining detailed project plans and reporting against milestones
- Managing RAID, dependencies, and critical path to ensure delivery success
- Supporting cutover planning, go-live readiness, and transition into hypercare
- Working closely with delivery leads and coordinating work across functional and technical streams

Project & Team Management
- Leading end-to-end delivery of SAP S/4HANA or ECC transformation programmes
- Managing cross-functional teams, including offshore resources and third‑party integrators
- Overseeing financial management including budgeting, forecasting, billing, and margin control
- Managing change requests and assessing commercial/technical impacts
- Fostering collaboration, accountability, and a positive team culture across distributed teams

Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Promoting a cloud-first mindset and supporting customers through transformation
- Encouraging best-practice knowledge sharing across the project and broader delivery organisation
- Identifying business development opportunities and feeding them into Sales
- Mentoring junior project managers and strengthening internal project management capability
- Ensuring adherence to internal quality standards and governance processes

What we’re looking for
- Demonstrable expertise managing full‑lifecycle SAP S/4HANA or ECC implementation projects, involving multiple workstreams
- Strong background delivering SAP S/4HANA Public or Private Cloud projects; SuccessFactors experience is highly desirable
- Hands‑on experience with SAP Activate and familiarity with Prince2, Agile, or hybrid delivery approaches
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, including offshore and third-party resources
- Strong programme governance capabilities - RAID, budgeting, timelines, reporting
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiation skills
- Strong problem‑solving capability with the confidence to challenge constructively
- Ability to manage disputes, mitigate risks, and maintain control of scope
- Strong leadership, delegation, and team‑motivation skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities across clients.
- Collaborative mindset with the maturity to influence outcomes and drive best practice.
