Role Overview
As a Senior SAP Project Manager, you will lead the planning and delivery of complex SAP, The Config Team software product, and digital transformation projects for a diverse customer portfolio across multiple industries. Your responsibility will be to ensure successful project delivery—aligning to timelines, budgets, quality standards, and business goals.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Collaborating closely with customers, internal consultants, delivery teams, and senior stakeholders.
- Providing strategic leadership across multiple project workstreams whilst maintaining strong governance and commercial oversight.
- Contributing to large-scale SAP Supply Chain and SAP S/4HANA transformation programmes, utilising cutting-edge technology and delivery methodologies.
- Playing a crucial role in shaping and enhancing The Config Team’s project management capability, including continuous improvement, talent development, and delivery excellence.
- Ideal for professionals passionate about leading high-profile SAP transformation programmes, influencing senior stakeholders, and helping businesses maximise value from SAP investments.
Job Requirements
Proven experience required in:
- Leading multiple SAP or large-scale digital transformation projects with full end-to-end accountability.
- Delivering SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA projects within Supply Chain environments.
- Managing complex, multi-stream programmes involving business and technology stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness—including budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and contractual obligations.
- Experience in dynamic, matrixed organisations with expertise in cross-functional project team management.
- Deep understanding of project governance, delivery methodologies, stakeholder management, and change control processes.
- Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology (certification is a significant advantage).
- Participation in pre-sales activities, such as RFPs, quotations, Statements of Work (SoW), customer assessments, and solution evaluations.
- Previous line management, mentoring, or team leadership experience.
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools, including Microsoft Project, Jira, and Confluence.
- Exceptional planning, organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to present confidently to senior leadership, steering committees, and customer stakeholders.
- Desirable: PRINCE2, MSP, PMP, or AgilePM project/programme management qualifications.
- Valid UK driving licence.
