Senior Scala Developer
Software Development Consultant – Full Stack Scala (backend) - Netcompany

This role sits at the heart of full-stack software development, blending daily hands-on coding with strategic project execution—design, delivery, and client handover under one roof. Collaborate closely with your team, mentor, and accelerate your expertise through diverse client engagements.
From Scala and .Net to Azure DevOps and ReactJS, we equip you to work with state-of-the-art tools, ensuring you master the latest industry standards across front-end, back-end, and system integrations.
A dedicated lead manager will guide you—balancing technical and leadership growth as you mentor juniors and lead teams. Flexible but demanding, this role thrives on skilled collaboration and big-picture thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate in full-stack system development, covering front-end, back-end, and integrations, while implementing customer requirements for new features
- Design end-to-end technical solutions, ensuring process optimisation, workflow planning, and quality assurance
- Participate actively in daily team discussions, refining agile methodologies and executing high-impact software solutions
- Contribute to project delivery, from ideation through to client handover, ensuring seamless execution

Requirements
Must-Have
- +4 years of experience in the IT industry (development, consulting, or system-related roles)
- Full-stack or back-end development background, with proven proficiency in Scala or Java scripts
- Hands-on coding and delivery experience—proven ability to implement and iterate in real-world projects
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum frameworks and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps)
- Exceptional ** problem-solving** and learning agility—enthusiasm for mastering new technologies is vital
- Prior involvement in developing/delivering major IT solutions (typically medium-to-large scale)
- Right to work in the UK with the ability to pass a security clearance
- Willingness to travel to client sites anywhere in the UK, as required
Highly desirable
- Experience mentoring or leading junior developers on projects
- Familiarity with upskilling in leadership roles (e.g., event planning, people management)
- Certification or in-progress upskilling in latest cloud technologies (Azure, AWS) or algorithms
