About the Role: Sr. Security Consultant

Join the globally renowned SpiderLabs team—LevelBlue’s penetration testing and red teaming division—working with clients worldwide across North America, Latin/Central America, Europe, Africa, Australia, and Asia. This role offers the flexibility of remote work (primarily home-based) with occasional onsite requirements, and access to structured training and certification programs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Red Team operations for global enterprise clients including:
    • Conducting penetration tests for networks and applications
    • Assessing cloud environments and configurations
    • Performing wireless security audits and bespoke assessments
    • Developing automated tools to streamline penetration testing methodologies
  • Collaborate with a global team of 100+ security experts, sharing knowledge and refining best practices
  • Possible specialization in advanced testing disciplines such as:
    • Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT)
    • Mobile/SMTP application security
    • SCADA/Industrial Control System (ICS) testing

Candidates must deliver insights backed by expertise in:

  • Internal/broker web application attacks (e.g., OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities)
  • Network infrastructure (firewall rules, passive hints, perimeter defenses)
  • Modification techniques (e.g., gaining admin access via existing misconfigurations)

Professional Experience

Required:

  • Proven hands-on Red Team/penetration testing experience in a consulting or advisory role, preferably beside enterprises of moderate-to-large scale
  • Deep understanding of both Linux and Windows platforms—including web applications, middleware, databases, and identity management platforms

Preferable knowledge or tools:

  • Legacy/legacy-retention testing (e.g., Phishing, Credential Stuffing)
  • Shaded risk intelligence (威信 ision) feeds (e.g., Maltego, SpiderFoot)
  • Mobile application security (e.g., Android/iOS reverse engineering)
  • Conversational proficiency in SQL (due to its relevance to cross-layer attacks)

Desirable certifications include:

  • Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)
  • Offensive Security Certified Expert (OSCE)
  • CREST Registered Penetration Tester (CRT) and CREST Certificate of Cyber Security Awareness (CCT)

Ideal candidates may have experience in:

  • Demonstrating knowledge of availability factors (network jitter, latency)
  • Providing attack surface reduction guidance/suggestions to teams
  • Obtaining and explaining successful bypass techniques for legacy administrative controls

We especially welcome candidates with Security Clearance or DoD cyber-focused coter formula (CTI) clearance, but eligibility is not strictly required.

Technical Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of:
    • TCP/IP networking
    • Web application technologies (e.g., XSS, CSRF, IDORs, CVX/PCL injection)

Familiarity with:

  • Modern frameworks and CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal)
  • Vulnerability::

Education Requirements

A high school diploma/GCE (or global equivalent) is mandatory. A college or university degree (information technology, cybersecurity, or related field) is highly valued.


Flexible Working & Location

  • Open only to candidates legally authorized to work in the United Kingdom
  • Primarily remote with controlled on-site commitment based on client engagements
  • Spanning requires optional corporate use minima (e.g., 1–2 on-premise rotations annually) depending on role and geographic clusters.
