At AEG, you'll join a global technology and security team responsible for safeguarding the systems, platforms and data that power our venues, festivals and live experiences worldwide.

As a Senior Security Engineer, you'll play a key role in strengthening our Security Operations Centre, improving threat detection, automating processes and helping keep our technology environments secure.

What you’ll be doing

Build & Improve Security Operations

  • Enhance and optimise AEG's security monitoring, detection and response capabilities.
  • Design and maintain detection content, alerts and analytics across the SOC technology stack.

Investigate & Respond

  • Act as a senior escalation point for security incidents and complex investigations.
  • Work with internal teams and security partners to identify and respond to emerging threats.

Secure Our Technology

  • Manage and improve security controls across cloud, endpoint, network and identity platforms.
  • Support vulnerability management and strengthen security across AEG's global environments.

Automate & Innovate

  • Identify opportunities to automate monitoring, investigations and operational workflows.
  • Develop integrations and improvements that increase efficiency and visibility.

Collaborate & Influence

  • Provide security reporting, dashboards and insights to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Support security initiatives, audits, platform upgrades and continuous improvement programs.

What we’re looking for

Security Engineering Expertise

  • Strong hands-on experience in Security Operations and Security Engineering.
  • Experience managing SIEM, EDR/XDR and cloud security technologies, ideally within Microsoft environments.

Technical Knowledge

  • Understanding of incident response, threat detection, vulnerability management and network security.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Defender and security monitoring platforms.

Automation & Improvement

  • Ability to develop scripts, automations or workflows using tools such as PowerShell, Python or KQL.
  • Experience using threat intelligence, reporting and metrics to improve security outcomes.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Able to explain complex technical issues clearly to a range of stakeholders.
  • Organised, solutions-focused and comfortable working across multiple priorities in a global environment.

Where

You’ll be based at our head office in Blackfriars, a short walk from Southwark tube station and Blackfriars rail station. We offer flexible start and end times and currently work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day remotely. We welcome flexible working conversations.
