Shape the Security of Tomorrow's Connected World

At NXP, security is at the heart of everything we do. Join one of the industry's largest and most respected security organizations and help protect billions of connected devices across automotive, industrial, mobile, identification, payment, and IoT applications globally.

Within NXP's Competence Center Crypto & Security (CC C&S), you'll collaborate with leading security experts, architects, cryptographers, and hardware designers to craft next-generation security solutions that stand against sophisticated cyber and physical attacks. If you're passionate about embedded security, hardware security, and security architecture—and want to drive products shaping the global market—this role is yours to create.

About the Role

Signed up for embedding security and charting the future of connected security solutions? As a Security Engineer within the SoC/IC Security Engineering Team, you'll spearhead the development of NXP's most resilient security foundational standards.

Your Impact

As a Security Engineer in SoC/IC Security Engineering, your responsibilities will focus on securing cutting-edge hardware and systems from inception to mass production. Here’s how your expertise will drive impact:

  • Drive security architecture and implement security-by-design principles across advanced System-on-Chips (SoC) and secure embedded systems.
  • Define rigorous security requirements—translating them into secure firmware, software, and on-chip hardware mechanisms.
  • Identify and mitigate security weaknesses in architectures, preventing vulnerabilities before they reach the market.
  • Lead threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability analyses across the entire product lifecycle.
  • Clamber through the complexities of USB implementation on a two-dimensional *– elshift, assess security flaws, and grunt, with rigorous analysis at its core.
  • Build alliances with global product teams, security architects, customers, and certification labs to embed security seamlessly.
  • Contribute to next-generation secure IP blocks and formations to guarda the latest trends in cyber and physical attack prevention.
  • Support NXP’s security certification journey with international security standards—SABSA, ISO/IEC 270xx series, BS7799, M2M, etc.
  • Train, advise, and mentor engineers on secure design principles, secure hardware verification methodologies, and emerging threats.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
