We are looking for a Senior Risk Assessor to join our Physical Security team!
This role will be responsible for creating, planning and scheduling the programme of work required for the Security Risk Assessors to carry out compliance assessments of our Operational assets against the Security & Emergency Measures Direction (SEMD) physical security requirements.
You will maintain the Security Risk Management process and assist in a holistic security assessment of the assets to determine the risk assessment. You will play a vital role in our Physical Security team and be required to work with our Water and Water Recycling teams.
A key responsibility will be to successfully deliver this programme of work and identify and build financial plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand the Security & Emergency Measures Direction and Regulatory requirements
- Conduct and plan the surveys of our water and water recycling operational sites
- Understand and work in accordance the principles of physical security protection (National Protective Security Authority) and risk management
- Produce a security risk programme of work to identify all assets within scope based on the security risk management process.
- Produce the programme of works for the Security Risk Assessors, conduct audits and risk evaluation of current physical security, produce evidence to support current SEMD compliance, and produce and maintain a Compliance Audit process including all documentation
- Supervise the day to day management of the Security Risk Assessors
- Be able to record and maintain detailed records
- Work with our Framework Security Contractors, exploring likely future physical security solutions available with technology and physical enhancement
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement in Health & Safety, ensuring consistent standards are maintained

What does it take to be successful?
- Experience of working within a risk management environment
- A broad engineering knowledge of infrastructure or non-infrastructure installations and suppliers
- Project Management experience
- Background knowledge of Water and Water Recycling and treatment processes would be beneficial
- Knowledge of our geography field base and environment would be beneficial
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- A full UK driving license
