Role Summary
As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will operate as the senior technical authority partnering with Account Executives (AEs), Technical Account Managers (TAMs), and strategic partners across the Enterprise segment to drive regional and corporate growth. You will serve as a trusted advisor to executive and senior technical stakeholders, shaping how customers and partners design, adopt, and scale solutions on the Qualys platform across asset and vulnerability management, patch management, threat detection and response, compliance, and cloud/application security.
You will own the technical strategy for the partner ecosystem — driving technical enablement, joint solution development, and the expansion of partner delivery and managed service capabilities around the Qualys platform.
This is a highly visible, senior individual contributor role with broad latitude to set technical direction, working in close, cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Partners, and C-level/senior customer stakeholders. You will be looked to as a mentor and technical escalation point for less experienced team members.
What You'll Do
- Own and lead technical strategy for the most complex pre-sales opportunities, driving the technical win on strategic and high-value deals.
- Lead discovery at the executive level to uncover, prioritise, and translate complex customer security and compliance requirements into end-to-end Qualys and partner-integrated solution architectures.
- Design and deliver executive architecture workshops, whiteboarding sessions, technical deep dives, and board-level stakeholder presentations.
- Architect and direct high-complexity Proof of Concept (POC) / Proof of Value (POV) engagements, setting the standard for how these are run across the team.
- Independently identify gaps between current and target state; define solution patterns, adoption roadmaps, and long-term architectural strategy.
- Build and steward executive-level trusted relationships with technical and security decision-makers across customers and partners.
- Shape proposal strategy, providing senior technical differentiation and business value narratives for the most strategic pursuits.
- Lead partner technical enablement at a programme level — designing training curricula, solution guidance, joint architecture frameworks, and operational best practices.
- Drive the development of partner-delivered and managed security service offerings, acting as the senior technical architect for these initiatives.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison between customers, partners, Product Management, and Engineering — resolving the most complex technical challenges and directly influencing roadmap priorities.
- Author authoritative technical enablement content (solution guides, white papers, blogs, workshops), setting the bar for internal and partner sales enablement.
- Proactively identify systemic technical challenges across the field and lead the development of scalable enablement assets, automation frameworks, and best practices adopted org-wide.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior Solutions Architects and TAMs.
- Travel expectation 20–30%.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
