Senior Service Delivery Manager (FM Soft Services)

Location: Liverpool
Contract: Full-Time - Permanent Contract
Structure: Monday to Friday - Days but requiring flexibility for operational continuity.

Position Summary

An excellent commercial opportunity has arisen for a Senior Service Delivery Manager to oversee a critical, multi-tier industrial service and waste management contract in the Liverpool area.

The successful candidate will assume total accountability for the on-site operations, financial, and administrative performance of a 24/7 business unit. Managing a multi team structure of personnel across various shifts, and will drive rigorous compliance, continuous improvement, and robust client governance to protect and expand a high-value corporate account.

Key Execution Areas:

  • Governance & Client Relations: Act as the primary on-site stakeholder representing the business. Lead formal contract reviews, manage KPIs, and align service delivery with corporate benchmarks.
  • Financial Stewardship: Manage comprehensive P&L, direct resource planning, track actual costs against budgets, and implement quantitative frameworks to achieve year-on-year cost reductions.
  • Operational Excellence: Apply Lean methodologies to diagnose operational inefficiencies. Ensure continuous improvement across all cleaning and material processing streams.
  • Risk & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to national Health & Safety legislation. Guarantee that all risk assessments, method statements, and training matrices are meticulously documented and audited.
  • Asset & Vendor Management: Oversee the life-cycle and scheduling of specialized cleaning systems, material handling machinery, and baling equipment, while governing third-party vendor performance.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualifications: HNC or higher professional qualification in management or engineering, alongside extensive senior supervisory experience.
  • Industry Profile: Proven history executing high-value facility or contract cleaning portfolios within an industrial/factory environment, accompanied by a comprehensive grasp of industrial waste duty of care.
  • Competencies: Strong commercial acumen, exceptional presentation and communication skills, and proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or advanced asset tracking systems.
