Sexual Health Hounslow
Sexual Health Hounslow provides Sexual Health, HIV and Contraception services for the London Borough of Hounslow.
We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, and empathetic Band 6 Senior Staff Nurses to join our team who have a passion for the specialty. We are particularly interested in talking to nurses who currently work in a Sexual Health setting or who have relevant experience within this field. We are looking for professionals who are driven, efficient, and committed to providing excellent patient care.
This senior post includes managing symptomatic patients autonomously and taking the role of Nurse in Charge in the clinical setting. We would expect the Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse to also support junior members of staff where necessary, acting as a role model to all members of the Multidisciplinary Team.
You will be expected to work flexibly across our three sites: West Middlesex Hospital (Twickenham House), Feltham Health Centre, and Heart of Hounslow Health Centre.
Please see the attached job description and person specification. Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate they meet the essential criteria in the person specification in their application and, if shortlisted, at interview.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
