Join us in an exciting opportunity within the R&D department of the high-precision positioning product portfolio at u-blox

As a Senior Signal Processing Engineer in our GNSS Measurement Engine (ME) team, you’ll play a key role in shaping the next generation of u-blox positioning solutions. Leveraging your expertise in embedded C, you’ll design and implement advanced GNSS receiver features that impact millions of users worldwide.

You’ll be part of a focused team, collaborating closely with a group of exceptionally skilled engineers. Your technical acumen, problem-solving mindset, and strong team spirit will help drive innovation within our agile development environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize signal processing algorithms within GNSS measurement engines.
  • Conduct proof-of-concept (PoC) studies using simulations as well as on-target verification and validation.
  • Develop, execute, and review test cases to ensure product quality and robustness.
  • Analyze nonconformities, investigate root causes, and implement bug fixes or workarounds.
  • Prepare technical documentation and communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Support product owners in backlog planning, prioritization, and refinement activities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on requirements management and intellectual property (IP) matters.

Your Skills and Experience

  • A degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of industry experience in wireless communications, or Layer-1 receiver design.
  • Strong programming skills in embedded C/C++, MATLAB, Python, or similar languages.
  • Experience with embedded software development, testing, debugging, and validation methodologies.
  • Proven track record of working with large and complex codebases involving multiple dependencies.
  • Hands-on mindset with a strong sense of ownership and a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Analytical and fact-driven problem solver with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example and contribute effectively within collaborative teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with professional proficiency in spoken and written English.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Background in GNSS signal processing, receiver development, or positioning engines.
  • Experience as a Product Owner, Scrum Master, or in other Agile development roles.
