Senior Site Manager
Location: Cumbria
Salary: GBP55,000 - GBP60,000
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Site Manager to join a growing regional housebuilder, taking full responsibility for the successful delivery of a prestigious residential development in Cumbria. This is a key leadership role, ideal for an accomplished site management professional with a proven track record of delivering high-quality residential developments safely, on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all on-site operations from initial groundworks through to final customer handover.
- Lead and manage site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Deliver residential developments safely, on programme and within budget.
- Monitor quality, productivity and site performance, ensuring the highest construction standards are maintained.
- Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety legislation, Building Regulations and NHBC or equivalent warranty requirements.
- Coordinate subcontractors, site logistics and daily site activities.
- Work closely with Commercial, Technical, Sales and Customer Care teams throughout the build programme.
- Manage inspections with Building Control, NHBC and other warranty providers.
- Maintain accurate site records, progress reports and programme updates.

Applicants Should Have
- Significant experience within the residential housebuilding sector.
- Previous experience as a Senior Site Manager, with responsibility for managing housing developments from inception through to completion.
- Proven experience delivering traditional housing developments to programme and budget.
- Strong leadership, organisational and people management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, Building Regulations and NHBC or equivalent warranty standards.
- SMSTS, CSCS Black Card (or Gold Card where appropriate) and First Aid at Work certification.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Additional qualifications such as NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management, Temporary Works Supervisor, Scaffold Inspection or Fire Marshal would be advantageous.
