Senior Site Agent – Water AMP8
Location: East London, United Kingdom
Project Value: £100M flagship water & wastewater project
Contract Type: Permanent (open to contract options)
Our client, a leading Tier 1 contractor in the UK water sector, is delivering a major £100 million water and wastewater treatment project in East London. This high-profile scheme is central to long-term infrastructure improvements, enhancing capacity, resilience, and environmental performance.
You will take day-to-day responsibility for managing key sections of the civil works on-site. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safe, efficient delivery of works in line with programme and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily site operations across assigned work areas
- Supervise engineers, foremen, and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Monitor progress against programme and report on performance
- Coordinate materials, plant, and labour to meet project requirements
- Review technical drawings and ensure accurate implementation on-site
- Identify and mitigate risks and resolve on-site issues
- Maintain clear communication with the wider project team and stakeholders
- Ensure works are delivered to specification, on time, and within budget

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Agent or Senior Site Agent on civil engineering projects
- Background in water/wastewater or heavy civil infrastructure projects
- Experience working with Tier 1 or established contractors
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and site management
- Excellent leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and workstreams effectively
- Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering or similar
- SMSTS and CSCS required
