Teamforce Labour require a Senior Engineer required for a major infrastructure project in West London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Engineer with a strong Tier 2 contractor background to take a leading role on a large-scale civil engineering project involving utilities, ducting, and drainage works.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 6:00pm
Overtime: Optional full-day Saturdays available
Rate: Negotiable (dependent on experience)
Duration: Long-term position
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the engineering function across multiple work fronts.
- Oversee Site Engineers and engineering teams, providing technical support and mentoring.
- Ensure all setting out is completed accurately and in accordance with project specifications.
- Review and interpret drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Coordinate utility, ducting and drainage installation works with site management and subcontractors.
- Ensure quality assurance procedures, ITPs and inspection records are completed correctly.
- Manage as-built surveys and technical documentation.
- Identify and resolve engineering and construction issues on site.
- Liaise with the client, designers and project management team.
- Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
- Assist with planning, programming and the successful delivery of project milestones.

Essential Experience
- Proven experience as a Senior Engineer on major infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
- Strong background working for Tier 2 contractors.
- Extensive experience managing engineering activities relating to:
- Utilities
- Ducting
- Drainage
- Experience leading engineering teams and coordinating multiple work packages.
- Strong knowledge of QA procedures, setting out and as-built documentation.
Desirable Experience
Experience with pressure pipe welding, including:
- Irrigation systems
- Fire mains
- Non-potable water networks
The following training/certifications would be advantageous but are not essential:

- Multi Utility Butt Fusion Jointing (up to 355mm)
- Multi Utility Electrofusion Jointing (up to 355mm)
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- CSCS Card (Engineering).
- EUSR 1 & 2 – Working Around Buried Services.
- CAT & Genny / CAT Scanning certification.
- SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable).
