West Midlands | £70,000 – £85,000 + Vehicle & Fuel Package
Leading Contractor | Local Projects
A leading civil engineering and groundworks contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join their delivery team based around The East Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to work on local residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects with a well-established and growing business.
The Role:
As Senior Site Engineer, you will take responsibility for managing engineering activities across one or multiple projects, supporting site teams, and ensuring works are delivered accurately, safely, and in line with programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Leading setting out activities across groundworks and civil engineering packages
- Checking and approving setting out completed by site engineers
- Managing QA procedures, ITPs, and as-built records
- Liaising with project managers, site managers, and design teams
- Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings and specifications
- Supporting programme delivery and coordinating engineering resources
- Mentoring junior engineers and supporting their development
- Monitoring health & safety compliance from an engineering perspective
- Managing surveys, levels, drainage, roads, and infrastructure works

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Site Engineer within groundworks or civil engineering
- Strong setting out experience using GPS / Total Station
- Ability to review drawings and resolve technical issues
- Experience managing junior engineers
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- CSCS card (essential)
- Full UK driving licence
