Senior Site Manager

Location: London

About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Site Manager to join our Building division and lead the successful delivery of construction projects from initial planning through to final completion. Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, you will oversee all on-site activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.

This is a fully site-based role, requiring you to be present on site throughout the duration of the project. You will have direct responsibility for a Site Manager, providing leadership and support to ensure the successful delivery of the works.

The projects consist of modernisation and refurbishment works within prison environments. These are construction projects within secure facilities and are not undertaken whilst prisons are occupied by inmates.

This is a leadership position requiring the ability to manage site teams, foster strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders, and uphold the highest standards of health and safety, quality, and operational performance. You will collaborate closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal departments to deliver exceptional project outcomes while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of construction sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and in accordance with contractual obligations.
  • Report directly to the Contracts Manager, providing regular updates on project progress and performance.
  • Lead and manage the Site Manager and wider site team to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies relating to Health & Safety, Quality Assurance, Environmental Management, Sustainability, and the Business Management System.
  • Identify potential project risks and challenges, implementing proactive solutions to maintain programme and performance objectives.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure all compliance records are kept up to date.
  • Lead, mentor, and support site teams through effective supervision, performance management, and professional development initiatives.
  • Promote continuous improvement by driving best practices across all aspects of project delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
