Senior Site Manager

Senior Site Manager (or Ambitious Site Manager) – New £10m Business Park Development (Winchester, Hampshire)

About the Role

A senior-level opportunity for experienced Senior Site Managers or ambitious Site Managers seeking career progression to oversee a £10m new build business park and office development in Winchester, Hampshire. This secured multi-phase scheme includes new build offices and a community hub as the next phase.

You will report to the Site-based Project Manager and Contracts Manager, responsible for all site-based construction activities, including:

  • Management and coordination of trade sub-contractors and supply chain
  • Mid and short-term programming of works
  • Collaborating with the design team on development input
  • Ensuring company health and safety standards are met (planning, communication, implementation)
  • Reviewing method statements and risk assessments (RAMS)
  • Quality control, inspections, and test plan management
  • Client liaison and stakeholder coordination
  • Running coordination meetings with subcontractors and managers
  • Monitoring and reporting progress against the programme
  • Issue resolution
  • Snagging and handover processes

About the Company, Project & Client

This role is with the regional office of a national Tier 2 main contractor, specialising in education, residential, commercial, and retirement living projects across Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, and Berkshire.

  • Turnover: Exceeds £150m
  • Project size range: £5m to £15m
  • Secure workload pipeline, with over 50% of 2027 turnover already locked in
  • Scheme delivery through national frameworks, negotiated contracts, and competitive tenders

Requirements & Qualities

Key Experience & Certifications

You will be an experienced Senior Site Manager (or a Site Manager aspiring to progress) with:

  • A proven track record working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractors
  • Practical experience in multi-phase commercial projects
  • Expertise in design & build schemes covering all phases — from groundworks to handover
