Senior Site Manager | Major Nuclear Infrastructure Project
UK – Site-Based (Somerset)
ENG Bauen is supporting a major nuclear infrastructure programme and is currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to join during a critical delivery phase of the project.
About This Role
This is a highly visible leadership role, with responsibility for overseeing day-to-day construction execution across complex mechanical scopes. The position demands:
- Strong on-site leadership
- Coordination of contractors
- Ensuring installation activities meet strict safety, quality, and schedule requirements within a highly regulated environment
You will take a central role in driving site progress as the workforce scales rapidly, working closely with project leadership to deliver safely and efficiently in the UK’s most significant energy infrastructure programme—a cornerstone opportunity for current nuclear and industrial construction leaders.

Key Requirements:
- Long-term contract supporting a nationally critical energy project.
The Assignment
- Senior Site Management role on a major nuclear infrastructure programme
- Direct responsibility for Site Execution & Construction Leadership
- Oversight of large mechanical installation scopes, including:
- Piping, welding, and welding-related installations
- Coordination of contractors, multidisciplinary site teams, and operational stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with:
- Strength health & safety (H&S)
- Quality assurance
- Regulatory standards (e.g., extensive licensing and standards)
- Strategic delivery support for one of Europe’s most complex infrastructure projects.
The Ideal Candidate
At least 10+ years’ experience in Site or Construction Management, with a record of successful delivery on:
- Large capital construction projects (≥ £50m–£bn in scale)
- Mechanical construction expertise, including piping, welding, and installation-related tasks
- Managing large site teams and contractor interfaces (100s of staff)
- Highly regulated environments, particularly with:
- Nuclear or major industrial construction
- Strict decommissioning, modularisation, or commissioning demands
- Brownfield or greenfield project experience desirable
