Site Manager – Renewable Energy (Photovoltaic) Projects
About the Role
The Site Manager will oversee all construction works for assigned projects, ensuring the Plant is delivered successfully in terms of budget, time, and quality.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate complex construction activities across multiple subcontractors on-site, managing several projects simultaneously
- Monitor and report on construction progress, resource allocation, and schedules, preventing delays or shortages for future tasks
- Act as the Owner’s Representative on-site, aligning with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects align with planned work processes (WPM) requirements
- Enforce Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards, inspecting site safety practices and addressing unsafe conditions promptly
- Support quality inspections by documenting findings with photos, reports, and quality records
- Handle Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)—identifying, documenting, and resolving issues efficiently
- Plan construction stages during the development phase and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Utilise integrated software systems (rooted in lean construction and WPM principles) for clear, accurate reporting

Profile & Requirements
- Proven leadership in renewable energy construction, with a strong preference for photovoltaic (PV) projects
- Ideally, candidates should have an electrical engineering background or related construction expertise
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, techniques, materials, and safety standards for civil, electrical, and mechanical components
- Exceptional leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to motivate teams and resolve conflicts
- Experience collaborating with project managers, ensuring on-site field activities align with project objectives for subcontractors, teams, and stakeholders
- Familiarity with construction management and project software, particularly WPM and lean workflow systems
- Process-driven with strong problem-solving capabilities, ability to foster collaboration across diverse teams
- Self-sufficient with the motivation to work both independently and within a team
- Ability to travel extensively (80% of the time) on multi-week assignments
- Holds a valid driver’s license and is willing to work across multiple project sites in key markets
