Senior Site Reliability Engineer with excellent communication skills and breadth and depth across Linux, Docker, Kubernetes and IaC
Our client is a relatively recent Hedge Fund start-up, now managing $5BN+ and this role will join a local SRE team as the third team member. They seek who can work well with both the business as well as with MSPs, operate with a high degree of accountability, able to manage multiple concurrent projects efficiently and flexibility, whilst also collaborating effectively with a global team across multiple time zones.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy and manage hybrid infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to system performance and stability through root cause analysis and other analytical techniques.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement cloud-native architectures, microservices, and serverless applications, leveraging containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Ensure system security is maintained and continuously improved.

Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience in Systems Engineering or a similar position (SRE, DevOps, Platform Engineer …).
- In depth knowledge of Linux based operating systems.
- Experience designing, building and managing mission-critical infrastructure.
- Experience with IaC tools such as Chef, Terraform, Puppet or Ansible.
- Experience in Containerisation (Kubernetes preferred).
- In depth knowledge of automation frameworks – including but not limited to automated testing, orchestration workflows, schema modification and Infrastructure-as-a-code principles.
- Knowledge of network technologies, i.e., routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, network and routing protocols, VPN, SDWAN.
