At Evri Premium, technology is at the heart of delivering exceptional services to millions of customers. We're looking for a talented Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our growing technology team and help build resilient, scalable, and secure platforms that support our business-critical applications.
The Role
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our applications and infrastructure are reliable, performant, and scalable. Working closely with development squads, architecture teams, and service management functions, you'll help drive automation, improve deployment processes, establish service reliability standards, and support the delivery of high-quality IT services. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex operational challenges, improving engineering practices, and influencing technology standards across a large-scale organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Improve software development efficiency through tooling, automation, infrastructure resilience, security, and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Support teams in resolving operational challenges relating to availability, performance, and scalability.
- Define, influence, and measure Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and non-functional requirements.
- Create monitoring solutions and dashboards to provide visibility of key service metrics.
- Support reliable application deployments and enable rapid issue detection and rollback processes.
- Ensure security best practices are embedded across platforms and services.
- Identify and escalate deviations from technology standards through the Technical Design Authority (TDA).
- Contribute to the development and promotion of the SRE service catalogue.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational knowledge sharing across teams.
- Support and develop junior engineers within the team.
- Manage and support shared services used across development, testing, and production environments, including CI/CD and automation tooling.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
