Senior Social Strategist
Senior Social Strategist
Department: Social Strategy Location: London, Sea Containers Contract Type: Fixed-Term (12 months) Employment Status: Full Time Reports To: Group Head of Strategy
About the Role
As a Senior Social Strategist, you’ll thrive at the intersection of cutting-edge technology, entertainment, sport, and modern culture. You’ll shape the social presence for two of the world’s most dynamic brands: our flagship AI platform and Pixel. This isn’t about following industry conventions—you’ll disrupt the status quo, challenge creative norms, and redefine how our brands engage across diverse spaces, from generative AI experimentation and pop culture activations to major sponsorships (think: Love Island, Arsenal, Liverpool, and English football).
This role demands a hands-on practitioner—someone who’s obsessed with real-time execution, sees raw creativity in both high-concept strategy and thoughtful execution, and rolls up their sleeves to push boundaries within a fast, agile environment where speed of thought equals speed of impact.
Key Responsibilities
1. Disruptive Channel Architecture
- Translate high-level brand visions into platform-native strategies (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram) that defy traditional content formulas.
- Architect unexpected campaign frameworks—blending creativity with generative AI experimentation and pop culture momentum.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

2. Agile Creative & PR Partnership
- Act as the daily strategic anchor for creative teams, ensuring ideas are tested, refined, and rapidly executed to capture real-time engagement.
- Collaborate with PR leads to fuel earned media opportunities, amplifying campaigns through unexpected storytelling.
3. The Challenger Creator Ecosystem
- Build and nurture elite partnerships with creators, cultural figures, athletes, and technologists who embody differentness.
- Co-develop bold activations with these talents—roding AI and Pixel’s distinct hardware identity while shaping their larger public presence.
The Ideal Candidate
Who You Are
- A grounded visionary—poised between strategic rigour and creative execution.
- A hands-on operator, energised by live terrain, fast pivots, and messy real-world iterations.
- A cultural polymath—equally fluent in AI’s frontier, chopping-room drama of Love Island, football’s ‘vibe’, and Milan’s fashion tea.
Core Mindsets
- Anti-copy-and-paste—you obsess over context, nuance, and discovery.
- AI-native experimentation—you see generative tools as catalysts for brand-lit creative audacity, not buzzwords.
- Challenge the algorithm: If the status quo moves you, be it right-wing LV livestreams or PCG Tay cheat codes, you spot where cultural scanners have missed.

What Success Looks Like
- Campaigns that dominate without imitating—your vision turns Plan-Ahead briefs into immediately sharable moments.
- UNmeterable partnerships—yesterday’s creator bad boy is your brand’s power move, today’s sponsor is your audit.
- Adaptive partnerships—your days run to 2am Twitter brainstorms, 8pm Discord ‘ping pong’ against PR tents, your weekends tick on AI prompts (are they ‘Gen Z monks’ of replication? Debate open).
Perks & Inclusivity
Your Support
- Worklife balance: 25 days annual leave + an extra volunteering day. Plus a flexible hours set-up (core 10am-4pm).
- Caring culture: Bupa health perks + parental leave schemes (enhanced for adoption and shared parental plans).
- Growth fund: Covering your subscription growth—gym memberships, headspace memberships, annual eye checks, and wellbeing incentives.
Inclusion & Belonging
- Diversity drives innovation—we’re aiming for top-paying creative in the UK. Zero tolerance for exclusion. Our policies reflect that.
- Reasonable adjustments—if Greta Thunberg raced reeds instead of runners, let’s talk. Tell us how we help optimise yours.
Apply to the role that rewrites the copybook, and we’ll match the legacy.
