Senior Social Value Consultant
Overview

Our growing Social Value Service Line supports our engagement with clients, service delivery, and community partnerships. In this role, you’ll gain experience on some of the world’s largest and most challenging projects, working with diverse clients and communities across sectors such as water, oil and gas, power, renewables, infrastructure, and the built environment.
We’re seeking a Senior Social Value Consultant to develop and expand our Social Value Consultancy Services within our UK and Europe business. Flexibility in your sector background is key—we value individuals driven by a passion for creating thriving communities in sustainable environments.
Work arrangement: This is typically a full-time role, but part-time options are available—please discuss if you have specific needs. The role involves primarily office/onsite work (Minimum 3 days per week) in West London and surrounding areas, regular travel, and flexibility to work from home the remaining 2 days.
Your Role
- Build and maintain client relationships, promoting Social Value services and broader AtkinsRéalis offerings.
- Develop, manage, and deliver Social Value programmes/plans, including:
- Developing Social Value delivery strategies for clients and project teams.
- Coordination of stakeholder engagement, including community partners and key players.
- Execution and management of Social Value programmes and activities.
- Collaborate internally: Support cross-business efforts and partnerships across joint ventures.
- Drive business development through:
- Building networks.
- Identifying opportunities.
- Leading bids and client presentations.
- Procurement/supplier management: Support supply chain engagement, vendor upskilling, and delivery oversight.

Requirements
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience in designing, executing, and monitoring social value activities and programmes across sector-relevant projects.
- Strong theoretical understanding of Social Value principles in England, including:
- Economic Impact Assessments.
- Environmental Management.
- Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) or sustainability frameworks.
- Commercial acumen: Ability to position solutions strategically, develop bids, and win projects for the business.
- Strong partnership spirit—comfortable with cross-team collaboration and networking to expand influence.
- A detail-oriented attitude that embraces all aspects of the role, not just high-visibility projects.
- Disposition for stimulating thinking: Ability to creative storytelling in proposals, aligning Social Value with our clients’ objectives.
- Skill and agility in managing multiple tasks and complex projects with smooth transition through change.
- Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience achievable in:
- Social/environmental sciences/natural sciences, or similar.

Security Clearance
- Potential requirement for security checks: This role will likely require a Security Vetting routine (assessment jointly with UK Security Vetting).
