Senior Social Worker – Adult Community Mental Health Service (ACMHS), North West Hertfordshire
An outstanding opportunity has developed for a Senior Social Worker to join the Adult Community Mental Health Service (ACMHS) in North West Hertfordshire.

About the Role
This role will be based within the St Albans community mental health team. A full valid driving licence (along with regular access to a car for business purposes) is essential (unless a specific impairment is identified under the Equation Act 2010).
Key Responsibilities
The Successful Candidate must demonstrate the ability to:
- Promote and lead the social care agenda, upholding the principles of personalisation, wellbeing advocacy, and individual rights to choice and control.
- Conduct complex assessments of need, develop person-centred care plans, and review outcomes collaboratively with individuals, their support networks, and care providers.
- Ensure team practice is responsive, inclusive, and community-focused, with an emphasis on positive outcomes.
- Bring professional expertise to manage complex cases effectively.
- Supervise social care staff and provide wider team support where required.
- Manage Care Act 2014 assessments and package of care reviews, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Collaborate robustly with community partners (rather than simply reliant on statutory services) to support individuals and families in meeting their needs.
- Act as a signature leader of social care within the located quadrant/area.

- Must be professionally registered as a Qualified Social Worker.
