The Role
Job Title & Details
- Title: Senior Social Worker
- Grade: 8
- Salary: £52,413 – £56,730 per annum
- Hours: 37 per week
- Contract: Permanent
- Workstyle: Field-based (community-focused)
- Location: Graiseley and Bingley Family Help Hub
Key Responsibilities
Your role will involve:
- Supervising and supporting junior social workers while delivering high-quality service to children in need
- Promoting restorative practice to ensure sustainable solutions for families
- Building strong, trust-based relationships with children, families, and partnerships
- Ensuring accessibility and fairness, driven by the Council’s equality, diversity, and inclusion values
- Helping to embed Excellence Framework principles in supervision and practice

Requirements

Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Must be Social Work England registered
- Completed an Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) or equivalent post-qualifying pathway
- hold a current DBS Enhanced Disclosure check

Attributes & Comfort
- Passion for relational, community-based social work
- Leadership conviction in restorative intervention
- Comfort with collaborative decision-making and managing diverse team dynamics
