About the Role
Are you an experienced and value-driven social worker looking to make a real and lasting difference for children and families? We are recruiting for our Child in Need, Child Protection and Court Teams and are seeking experienced, passionate Senior Social Workers to join us.
Lancashire is a Family Safeguarding Authority, and our practice model is rooted in motivational interviewing alongside other strengths-based approaches. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will help families create positive, sustainable change through our Family Safeguarding Programme. This is an opportunity to work creatively, collaboratively, and with the right professional autonomy to truly influence outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Bring at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience in statutory children’s social care
- Commit to strengths-based, relationship-focused practice
- Work confidently with:
- Children in need
- Child protection processes
- Court work
- Value multi-agency working and understand the role of professional curiosity
- Demonstrate reflectiveness, resilience, compassion, and a strong motivation to improve children’s lives
Experience within a Family Safeguarding model is desirable, but not essential—training and development will be provided to support this approach.
