We are working with an innovative engineering software startup that is poised for significant growth, aiming to revolutionise the CAE sector and free engineers from traditional design and creative limitations. This company is developing a cutting-edge platform, building on the founders' extensive experience in the field, and is looking for a visionary to shape its technical direction.
The Role
- Architect and lead the development of a new Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) platform.
- Establish robust architecture and scalable systems for complex engineering software.
- Transition into growing and leading a team of talented software engineers.
- Drive the adoption of modern technologies and best practices in software engineering.
- Ensure the platform is scalable, extensible, and leverages distributed computing and cloud infrastructure.

What You'll Need
- Significant experience in software architecture, system design, and development of complex scientific or engineering software.
- Broad technological expertise across various development languages and platforms, including desktop, web, and distributed computing (cloud).
- Proven ability to design scalable and extensible architectures and develop cloud infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and a forward-thinking approach to AI-assisted development.
- Experience in leading software engineering teams, ideally within a startup or scaleup environment.
