We’re partnered with a high-growth consumer tech platform looking to hire a Senior Backend Engineer into a fast-moving product engineering team.
The business has already scaled to hundreds of thousands of users and is continuing to grow quickly, with engineering at the centre of that growth. They’re building modern, real-time user experiences with a strong emphasis on speed, product quality, and continuous improvement.

This role sits within a backend-focused team responsible for powering core customer experiences across web and mobile platforms. You’ll be building APIs, backend services, and scalable systems within an environment that ships to production daily.
The stack is primarily Python on AWS, using technologies including Flask, PostgreSQL, Docker, Terraform, and cloud-native infrastructure. Strong backend engineering fundamentals are more important than exact stack match.
What they’re looking for:
- Strong backend engineering experience with Python
- Experience building and maintaining APIs
- Good understanding of scalable systems and backend architecture
- Cloud experience (AWS ideally)
- Product-minded engineers who enjoy ownership and moving quickly
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments
