Role: Senior Software Engineer

Location: London (West) | Hybrid (3 days per week)
Salary: £75,000–£80,000

The Opportunity

As part of this growth, they're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build the next generation of their AI-powered platform.

You'll join a newly formed cross-functional engineering squad, working alongside Product Managers and Data Scientists to solve complex technical challenges at scale.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll influence architecture, mentor other engineers and build highly scalable backend systems that process millions of data points every day.

You'll be working on:

  • Designing and building scalable Java backend services
  • Developing cloud-native microservices
  • Building APIs used across AI-powered products
  • Working alongside Product and Data Science to deliver new features
  • Improving performance, scalability and reliability of existing systems
  • Mentoring junior engineers and driving engineering best practice
  • Contributing to architectural decisions across the platform

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years commercial software engineering experience
  • Strong Java development experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Spring Boot and backend architecture
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices
  • Strong SQL and database design skills
  • Cloud experience (AWS, Azure or GCP)
  • Experience working within Agile engineering teams
  • Passion for clean, maintainable code

Location: Hybrid working with three days per week in the company's West London office.
