Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
Architecture & AI Infrastructure
- Design scalable, high-throughput backend systems for AI-driven applications, including:
- LLM-focused workflows (multi-agent routines, prompt orchestration)
- Vector databases & similarity search integrations
- Distributed computing & real-time processing for performance-critical paths
- Optimise systems for cost efficiency without compromising velocity

Data Systems Automation
- Build seamless pipelines that stitch together:
- Model providers (e.g., LangChain, custom LLMs)
- Data stores (PostgreSQL, time-series DBs, et al.)
- Internal tooling/APIs into cohesive, performant architectures
- Reduce manual overhead by automating data lakeshare, versioning, and consumption
Culture & Teamship
- Drive major infrastructure decisions and engineering culture as a key contributor from day one
- Mentor growing team members and raise the bar on standards while executing at start-up speed
- Inspire a mindset of ottimality, latency minimisation, and re-usability in every system
About You
Experience
- End-to-end project ownership—from initial concept through production, deployment, and iteration
- Hands-on experience scaling systems under tight timelines, balancing empirical results with maintainability
Technical Stack
- Production-coder expertise in Python or TypeScript (both in-memory and cloud)
- Deep end user skills in PostgreSQL (performance tuning, schema design, transactions)
- Experience with ORM patterns (SQLAlchemy, Prisma, et al.)
- Bonus points for:
- LLM workflow design (e.g., LangChain, agent-based logic libraries)
- Serverless, Kubernetes, or stateless scales (AWS, GCP)
- Embedding+, search architectures (Milvus, Pinecone)
