About Dr Frost Learning
Dr Frost Learning is an education charity whose mission is to ensure every student, regardless of background, feels capable in maths and every teacher loves teaching it. Our platform supports the teaching and learning of mathematics from KS2 to A Level, and is used by tens of thousands of teachers and hundreds of thousands of students across the UK and internationally, both through schools and independently.
As we grow our subscriber base towards 2,000 schools, we are building the engineering team to match our ambitions.
Our brand recognition is exceptionally strong, and our charitable status sets us apart from commercial competitors. As we enter our fourth year as a charity, our priority is to deepen platform engagement — particularly in schools serving students from disadvantaged backgrounds — and to grow our subscription base as we transition from philanthropic funding to a full subscription model.
The Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a small, high-ownership engineering team working on one of the UK's most widely used maths education platforms. You will work closely with the CTO and Product Manager to design, build and maintain features that directly affect how students learn and how teachers teach. This is a hands-on role — you will be writing code every day, taking broad ownership across the stack, and contributing to technical direction in a team where every engineer matters. If you thrive in lean, fast-moving environments where you can see the direct impact of your work, and want to be part of a mission/vision driven organisation, this role is for you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
