10+ Senior Backend Engineers (Go / Kotlin) Fintech, London
- Location: Hybrid (~3 days on site), Permanent
- Salary: Up to £120,000 base + VSOP
- Requirements: Must have UK Right to Work
We're supporting a global fintech as they build out their first UK engineering team in London while expanding their global footprint.
They’re already operating at an international scale, but the London engineering hub is new—which means this is an opportunity to join early, shape local culture, and work on financial products used by millions of merchants and consumers globally. In this exciting time, they’re tackling large-scale change, diverse regulations, and challenges, providing the option to not only make an impact, but also to bring creativity to finescale innovations.
About the Company

- Work spans high-scale financial infrastructure:
- Banking
- Payments
- POS (Point of Sale) systems
- Cloud solutions
- Core focus: Building reliable financial infrastructure—ledgers, balances, transactions, and merchant banking products

About You: Core Responsibilities
To thrive, you’ll need:
- Strong backend experience with ownership from design to long-term maintenance—building and owning with:
- Go or Kotlin (primary stack)
- Experience with distributed systems, reliable production-grade platforms, and post-production improvements
- Polyglot stack knowledge: Comfortable working with:
- Java
- Some legacy Elixir
- Optional integration skills welcome

What We Offer
- Salary: ~ £95,000-£121,000 base (depending on experience)
