Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack & AI-Driven Fintech)
About the Role
MillTech is a leading European fintech company specialising in advanced FX and cash management solutions, empowering fund managers, institutions, and global corporates with automation, integration, and best-execution strategies.
As a fast-growing team, we’re at the forefront of AI-driven software engineering—hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build, modernise, and scale our core trading backbone, middle/back-office processes, and tech stack. This is a chance to shape scalable fintech infrastructure while collaborating in a collaborative, AI-first environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of full-stack development (end-to-end solutions) in a smaller, high-impact team
- Drive architecture decisions to support our micro-service, event-driven architecture
- Design and develop cloud-native solutions (AWS/Azure) with scalability and performance in mind
- Reduce technical debt while delivering innovative features aligned with FX trading automation and operational efficiency
- Integrate emerging technologies (AI/ML, event streaming, APIs) into our platform
- Support and continuous improvement of our tech infrastructure
- Foster a culture of engineering excellence through mentorship and process optimisation
- Embrace AI-driven workflows in code review, debugging, and system design

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in C#/.NET development
- Expertise in SQL databases (design, optimisation, query tuning)
- Cloud certifications or practical experience in AWS or Azure (including serverless, containers, and scalability patterns)
- Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar)
- Hands-on software development lifecycle (SDLC) mastery—from design and delivery to production support
- Experience leveraging AI tools (LLM-assisted coding, automation, testing, or DevOps)
