Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

Senior Software Engineer with knowledge around C#, Azure and modern AI-assisted software development, is wanted by a London based Scale-Up at the forefront of the energy revolution, driving innovation to power a sustainable Net Zero future.

Team and Culture

You will be joining a highly talented team who come from an engineering mindset. The team is working on a new greenfield solution which is very data driven, the analytical / mathematical product covers Energy Power Trading, Storage, and Power Modelling.

The business is embracing modern AI-assisted engineering practices, using agentic coding workflows and AI development tools throughout the software development lifecycle to improve software design, productivity and engineering quality. You'll be joining a team that actively encourages developers to stay up to date with the latest AI technologies and software engineering techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing, refactoring, implementing and testing C# code with a focus on maintainability, testability, and performance.
  • Working on scalable, high-performance software solutions.
  • Contributing to software architecture.
  • Using AI tools to enhance day-to-day development workflow.
  • Influencing projects and technical decision-making.

Technical Environment

  • Strong C# /.NET experience
  • Experience designing scalable, maintainable, and high-performance software
  • AI-assisted software development tools & agentic coding workflows
  • Microsoft Azure & Azure DevOps
  • CosmosDB & Database experience
  • Web APIs
  • CI/CD Pipelines
  • Vue.js / TypeScript
  • Git Version Control
  • Agile, Code Reviews, Unit Testing & TDD

Work Model

The team works on a hybrid model, normally meeting up in the Central London hub 2 days a week. Your colleagues will also be on-site, so there is some meaning, collaboration, and value.
