Software Engineer (Full-stack + AI)

Location: London Β· Old Street Β· Onsite (5 days/week)
Company: Skippr AI

Direct applicants only (no agencies)

Hey, we're Skippr AI πŸ‘‹

Your new interface is an agent. We build an AI agent, led by voice and vision, that operates software for people: they just ask, and it onboards them, guides them, and does the work. Drop it into your product with two lines of code and every user gets a live agent on day one. The same agent shows up wherever your users are β€” embedded in your product, in the meeting room, or across your team's tools.

We're a small, 100% AI-native team in Old Street, London, backed by Bessemer Venture Partners, Moonfire, and angels from Google, Twilio, and Meta. We don't just build agents β€” we use AI to optimise our own work every single day.

If that sounds like your kind of problem, we should talk.

What you'll do

  • Modern stack: Build scalable, real-time systems. We value diverse backgrounds and skills β€” some experience with a modern stack like ours (Hono, React, Neon, TypeScript, Python) or with AI-powered apps and agents is beneficial, but it isn't a strict requirement.
  • Own features end-to-end: From intuitive user interfaces to scalable backend services and AI agent orchestration.
  • Agentic experience: Shape an intuitive experience for a voice-first agent, and build the system behind it β€” tool use + MCP, memory, and real-time voice & vision.
  • Work closely with the founders: Shape and build our vision, balancing moving fast now with scaling later.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer β€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right β€” and where to focus when applying.

This role is for you if

  • You have at least 4 years of experience as a software engineer.
  • You're a 0β†’1 builder who has shipped to production β€” ideally rapidly shipping apps and building scalable systems in containerised environments.
  • You have at least 2 years of experience in a startup. You know what it means to build something from scratch that real people actually use or pay for.
  • You use coding agent tools like Claude Code or Codex as your daily driver.
  • You thrive in ambiguity. You can juggle shifting priorities, and decide when to let small fires burn and when to dive in.

This role is not for you if

  • You want remote or hybrid work. We believe early-stage startups win by moving fast in the same room β€” this is an in-office role, five days a week in our Old Street office.
  • You dislike ambiguity. Priorities shift, experiments fail, and new opportunities appear. If you prefer stable roadmaps, this isn't the place.
  • You don't enjoy 0β†’1 environments. Early-stage means wearing multiple hats, solving unscoped problems, and building with imperfect information.
