A Stage Unlike Any Other

In 1863, a group of artists, writers, and free thinkers gathered with a shared conviction: that the finest conversation, the boldest ideas, and the warmest hospitality belonged together under one roof. Charles Dickens dined here. Whistler argued here. Rodin was inspired here.

The Arts Club was born not as a venue, but as a living expression of creative life — and it has never stopped.

At the heart of that life today are the people and spaces that bring our club to life every day. This is more than an operation — it is an environment where members connect, create, and return time and time again because something about it feels truly special.

It takes an exceptional person to be part of that.

That person might be you.

Job Summary:

The Senior Bartender is responsible for delivering exceptional beverage service across all bar areas, ensuring the highest standards of quality, presentation, and member experience. This role combines expert cocktail and beverage knowledge with strong leadership, supporting the bar team in day-to-day operations, driving sales through proactive engagement, and maintaining a refined, professional atmosphere. The Senior Bartender plays a key role in coaching junior team members, managing stock and service standards, and creating a memorable and discreet experience for members and guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and service of beverages, including cocktails, wines, and spirits, to the highest standards.

  • Support bar operations across multiple outlets, adapting to different service styles and environments.
  • Oversee stock control, including ordering, storage, and minimising wastage.

  • Handle guest feedback and minor complaints professionally, escalating where necessary.
  • Support the training and development of bartenders and junior team members.
  • Maintain accurate recording of sales and ensure all items are correctly charged.
  • Uphold hygiene, health, safety, and security procedures at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and a strong presence when interacting with members and guests.
  • Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned by management.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
