Senior Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer – Engineering Team

About the Role

We are Printed.com, one of the largest and fastest-growing online print shops in the UK. Our mission is to be creative, innovative, and customer-focused, continuously investing in new technologies to grow our market share. We manufacture and produce products ourselves, working with a passionate team filled with designers, developers, and builders dedicated to pushing boundaries.

Last year, we served 32 million customers with 185 million deliveries and now operate in the UK, US, Germany, and Austria. We’re expanding fast—scaling our platform globally and scaling up our internal engineering team—and we’re looking for a senior engineer to join us:

  • A senior individual contributor confident working independently while shaping best practices for the engineering team
  • A mentor of less experienced engineers and a champion of continuous improvement
  • A challenge-taker, ready to navigate ambiguity while building a high-performing culture

Based in our London office, the role is hybrid with a minimum of 2 days on-site in Cramlington. Applications from experienced engineers of any background are welcome.

Responsibilities

  • Multi-Project Delivery

    • Lead, contribute, and deliver across multiple concurrent projects, from feature development to platform improvements and infrastructure initiatives
    • Maintain a high standard of code quality while balancing competing priorities and meeting delivery pace
  • Engineering Best Practices

    • Champion and enforce engineering best practices, including:
      • Code review standards
      • Testing and CI/CD pipelines
      • Clearly written documentation
    • Set the highest standard of excellence, acting as the example for the engineering team

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
