Senior Software Engineer
Senior Full Stack Developer (.NET & React)
Location: Hybrid Midlands – remote options available for the right candidate
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to drive the modernisation of a business-critical platform, influences technical direction, and leads a major transformation from a legacy Java desktop application to a modern web UI powered by new REST API services.
This hands-on role blends a strong backend-focused mentality with frontend modernisation, where:
- 70–80% will involve .NET C# development
- 30% will cover React-based UI updates
About the Role
You will be responsible for:
- Designing and developing modern web applications using:
- .NET, C#, React, and TypeScript
- Building scalable backend services and RESTful APIs
- Working with PostgreSQL-based relational databases
- Shaping architecture and technical design decisions
- Applying best practices including:
- Clean Architecture
- Vertical Slicing
- Ensuring code is clean, maintainable, and well-tested
- Participating in code reviews and continuous improvement
- Collaborating with:
- Engineers
- Architects
- Project Managers
- Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
- Operating within an Agile environment using:
- Jira
- Confluence

Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong commercial expertise in C# and .NET
- Experience developing modern web applications with React and TypeScript
- Demo & design experience with RESTful APIs (building and consuming)
- Strong understanding of relational databases, with PostgreSQL preference
- Deep knowledge of:
- Software engineering principles
- Testing methodologies
- Maintainable code design & clean-code practices
