Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere)

Job Type: Contract

Payout: $40 – $85/hour

Role Overview

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work on a contract basis. This position involves designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions to support business-critical applications. The role requires expertise in modern software engineering practices and the ability to deliver high-quality, scalable systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy software systems using best practices in software engineering.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Optimise application performance through:
    • Code reviews
    • Debugging
    • System improvements
  • Implement and maintain scalable architectures to support evolving business needs.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in accordance with industry standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as:
    • Python
    • Java
    • C++
  • Strong experience in:
    • Software design patterns
    • Algorithms
    • Data structures
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms including:
    • AWS
    • Azure
    • GCP
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps practices.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Knowledge of:
    • CI/CD pipelines
    • Automated testing frameworks
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
