Your Impact Design, build, and lead the technical direction of end-user features used by millions of people worldwide. Own architectural decisions within your domain — defining, evolving, and clearly communicating scalable, maintainable designs aligned with broader platform strategy. Break down complex product requirements into clear technical designs and executable work, guiding teams from concept through delivery. Act as a technical leader and role model within the team, setting high standards for code quality, testing, reliability, and operational excellence. Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers, supporting their technical growth through pairing, reviews, feedback, and knowledge sharing. Partner closely with product managers and designers to influence roadmap decisions, balancing customer value, technical health, and long-term sustainability. Listen to the customer and elevate their experience. CSAT, NPS, feedback, and metrics are their voice — drive investigations, identify root causes, and lead impactful improvements. Optimise — champion effective use of AI tools across the team to improve productivity, accelerate delivery, and focus effort on the most complex engineering challenges. Lead by example — bring curiosity, accountability, and positivity, helping foster a culture of ownership, learning, and collaboration. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in an analytical subject such as Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or Software Engineering. Experience: 7+ years of professional software development experience, delivering high-quality, production-grade software in complex environments. Technical Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading architecture and design discussions, influencing technical direction, and driving alignment across teams. Engineering Excellence: Deep programming and system design expertise, with the ability to evaluate trade-offs and make sound technical decisions. Problem Solving: Proven ability to lead a structured, scientific, and creative approach to solving complex technical and product challenges. Collaboration & Communication: Strong ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to engineers, product partners, and stakeholders at varying levels. Quality Focus: A strong commitment to quality, including test strategy definition, code reviews, operational readiness, and continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications End-to-end development experience across the stack, in some or all of the following areas: Languages: Modern C++, Swift, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, Python UI Frameworks: Qt, Cocoa, React, Angular, or similar Back-end: Java (Spring), RESTful APIs, WebSockets, distributed systems, and API design Significant experience contributing to or owning system architecture for large-scale, customer-facing applications. Strong experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, including contract testing and test automation in CI/CD pipelines. Practical experience or strong interest in AI-assisted development, including hands-on use of LLM-based tools for design exploration, scaffolding, refactoring, test generation, debugging, and improving developer productivity — with strong ownership of validated, production-ready solutions. Deep familiarity with Git, DevOps practices, continuous integration, and continuous delivery. Experience optimising applications across Windows, macOS, Linux, and Web platforms and ecosystems.
