Job Description
You will own and elevate Caura.com's backend platform, architecting scalable distributed systems that serve millions of UK drivers and major partners like Lloyds and Motorway. Working in a small team of experienced startup veterans, you'll bridge the gap between product vision and secure, event-driven infrastructure using TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS.

What You Will Do
- Architect and maintain robust, event-driven microservices using TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS services like ECS, Lambda, and EventBridge.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product and design to turn complex car-management workflows into seamless, scalable, and secure customer-facing features.
- Develop critical internal tooling and API integrations that form the backbone of the company’s operations and support major enterprise partnerships.
The ideal candidate
- Deep production experience building and owning distributed systems and RESTful APIs specifically with TypeScript and Node.js.
- Proven hands-on expertise with AWS infrastructure, including event-driven architectures, serverless functions, and container orchestration.
- A "scrappy builder" mindset with a history of working in fast-paced startup environments and the legal right to work in the UK.
