As a Senior Engineer, you will build and evolve the backend systems powering both direct-to-consumer and B2B health platforms. You'll work across a modern Ruby on Rails and TypeScript stack to deliver clinical insights at scale. What you will do: Design and evolve scalable backend architectures using Ruby on Rails to support complex clinical data and asynchronous messaging systems. Collaborate cross-functionally with designers and product managers to shape product outcomes and proactively solve ambiguous technical challenges. Implement modular, well-tested code across the stack while exploring AI-assisted development workflows to increase team velocity and impact. The ideal candidate: Possesses 5+ years of commercial software experience with deep expertise in Ruby on Rails and designing production-grade backend systems. Demonstrates a pragmatic, action-oriented mindset with the ability to break down complex problems into modular, maintainable code using RSpec or Jest. Shows curiosity for modern frontend frameworks like Vue3 or Nuxt and an active interest in staying ahead with AI-driven development tools. Who are Jack & Jill? Ok, I'll go first.
