About the Role

Join UnlikelyAI, a London-based Series A startup founded by the creator of Amazon Alexa, and pioneer revolutionary neurosymbolic technology—a fusion of Large Language Models (LLMs) with deterministic symbolic reasoning.

You’ll contribute to transitioning from bespoke enterprise solutions to a scalable AI platform, building high-performance Python systems that deliver reliable, explainable outcomes for financial institutions and global accounting firms.


Key Responsibilities

  • Core Infrastructure Development: Design and implement neurosymbolic core technologies, including:
    • Decision trees
    • Propositional graphs
    • Knowledge graphs within a collaborative Python monorepo.
  • Public API & Developer Experience (DX): Architecture the public API, ensuring:
    • High scalability
    • Robust authentication
    • Seamless document ingestion for enterprise-grade compliance.
  • Advanced Evaluation Frameworks: Develop frameworks to benchmark and improve system accuracy/performance against regulatory requirements.

Technical Requirements

  • Exceptional Python engineering—experience in production-grade, well-tested code with monorepo discipline.
  • Deep expertise in complex algorithms/data structures, particularly focused on:
    • Symbolic reasoning
    • Knowledge representation
    • Non-trivial problem-solving architectures.
  • Proven track record in end-to-end software ownership, spanning:
    • Ideation → Research → Development → Deployment
  • Preference for those in high-growth startups or regulated industries (e.g., fintech, audit).
