Senior Software Engineer | AWS & TypeScript (Remote - UK)
Senior Software Engineer- Cloud/Platform oriented TypeScript, AWS (Serverless & Event-Driven) Remote (UK-based) Up to £90,000 per annum + Discretionary Bonus No sponsorship available
We are exclusively partnered with an established eCommerce client within the sports industry who are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help evolve and scale a modern cloud-native platform built on AWS.
This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, working closely with stakeholders, and wants the opportunity to take greater ownership of architecture, planning and technical direction within a collaborative engineering team.
You'll play a key role in designing and delivering scalable event-driven services, shaping technical decisions, and helping drive engineering standards across a serverless-first environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement and optimise high-quality, serverless and event-driven cloud services using AWS and TypeScript Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making across multiple teams Collaborate closely with DevOps, Frontend and Backend engineers on service design and developer workflows Help drive platform-wide improvements across security, observability, testing and reliability Mentor engineers and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture Work closely with Product and business stakeholders to deliver pragmatic, scalable solutions
Experience we're interested in:
Strong experience building distributed systems and cloud-native applications using TypeScript Deep knowledge of AWS, particularly Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions and DynamoDB Experience designing, building and operating production-grade systems Infrastructure as Code experience, ideally Terraform Experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI Experience influencing technical decisions and engineering standards Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Bonus: Exposure to observability platforms, container technologies, MACH architecture, or modern eCommerce environments.
