This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer – B2B Logistics Platform based in United Kingdom.
About the Role
Join a high-impact engineering team building a modern cloud-native platform that powers international logistics and e-commerce operations. In this role, you'll design and develop scalable backend systems that support enterprise customers, complex integrations, and mission-critical workflows across global supply chains. You'll work on distributed architectures, event-driven services, and high-volume processing while collaborating closely with product and engineering teams. This is an opportunity to take ownership of technical solutions from design through production, contributing to products with direct business impact. Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services that support complex logistics and fulfillment workflows.
- Own technical solutions from architecture through deployment, ensuring reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Build and optimize cloud-native distributed systems and event-driven architectures capable of handling high-volume asynchronous processing.
- Develop and maintain integrations with enterprise platforms, APIs, and third-party systems, including OMS, WMS, and TMS solutions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Contribute across the technology stack when needed to deliver the best possible product outcomes.
- Continuously improve system performance, resilience, and operational efficiency while supporting mission-critical applications.

Requirements
- Proven experience designing and building cloud-native distributed systems in production environments.
- Strong backend software engineering background, ideally within scalable B2B SaaS products.
- Experience with event-driven architectures, asynchronous processing, and fault-tolerant system design.
- Solid experience integrating enterprise platforms and third-party services through APIs.
- Proficiency with TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system design principles, and product ownership.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Excellent written communication skills and experience collaborating effectively in remote, distributed teams.
- Experience within logistics, supply chain, e-commerce, fintech, or high-growth SaaS environments is considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with shipping platforms, Shopify, WooCommerce, or enterprise commerce integrations is a plus.
