Senior Software Engineer
Senior Backend Engineer (Go)
Remote-First Package: Up to £130,000 + Bonus + Equity
We’re partnering with one of the fastest-growing cybersecurity companies in the market. Already operating at unicorn status and targeting $400M ARR by the end of 2026, the business scales rapidly across the UK and globally.
With approximately 450 employees worldwide, a well-founded profit model, and plans to hire over 200 additional team members this year, this is an opportunity to be part of a high-growth company at a pivotal stage of its journey.
As part of a major platform transformation, the engineering team is rebuilding critical systems with a focus on:
- Adopting AI-native development practices
- Migrating services to Go
- Designing highly scalable distributed systems
- Achieving sub-50ms latency performance

The Opportunity
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll take on key responsibilities in shaping the next generation of the platform:
- Build and scale high-performance backend services in Go
- Design and deliver distributed systems capable of handling large-scale and high-throughput workloads
- Drive performance optimisation, low-latency architecture initiatives
- Contribute to the modernisation and rewrite of core platform services
- Collaborate closely with platform, infrastructure, and product engineering teams

Skills & Experience
- Proven commercial experience in backend system development (preferably with Go, but Java or Python also considered)
- 5+ years’ experience building scalable, distributed applications
- Deep understanding of:
- Concurrency
- Systems design
- Performance optimisation
- Knowledge of low-latency and high-throughput platforms
- Comfortable thriving in fast-moving, high-growth environments
- Interest in AI-assisted development and modern engineering methodologies
Package & Benefits
- Base Salary: Up to £135,000
- Bonus and equity included
- Remote-first with expectations to travel to London 2-3 times per quarter
